Arts and Culture Collaborative, Waterbury Region
of Matching Remaining
The Arts & Culture Collaborative (ACC) promotes, connects, collaborates and advocates for the arts in a 16-town region in the Waterbury area and Naugatuck Valley. We are a go-to resource for arts and culture, connecting artists and audiences. The ACC works with artists and organizations ranging from individuals and small groups to large venues, such as museums and theaters. The ACC bolsters marketing for our members, helps facilitate arts connections, and advocates for the interests of the arts community to state and local legislators as well as the business community. Our mission is to strengthen and support the arts as a central component of furthering economic development and enhancing the quality of life in our region. We operate under the auspices of the Greater Waterbury Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
One of the most important things Give Local funds will be applied to at the ACC will be the cost of production, printing and distribution of our popular quarterly events calendar that highlights the events of our members. Currently distributed through the Republican-American newspaper, the eight-page publication (see cover image on this page) is also available free of charge by mail and in various venues such as libraries, museums, theaters, etc. for the general public in our 16-town region to plan their cultural activities. Funds may also be used to produce quarterly performance and networking events that bring artists, performers and the public together to enjoy and appreciate the cultural assets of our region.
