The Salvation Army (Waterbury Corps)
of Matching Remaining
At the Waterbury Corps we operate many programs to meet the basic needs of individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet. Those we serve reside in Waterbury, Middlebury, Oakville, Prospect, Watertown, and Wolcott. Our programs include the Family Emergency Shelter, Comprehensive Emergency Assistance Program, Central P.A.R.K., character building programming, and summer camp for school-aged children. All of our programs are designed to meet clients’ immediate needs, while also providing additional information and referrals to help lead them toward self-sufficiency. Our Comprehensive Emergency Assistance Program provides case work, emergency food, clothing, furniture, holiday assistance. The Family Emergency Shelter provides temporary housing to homeless families, and consists of a 30-bed, 9 room facility that operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Central P.A.R.K. is designed to meet the social, physical, emotional, and developmental needs of children, ages five and under, in a safe, indoor-playground setting that is supportive of the wellbeing of the children, their families and the community at large.
Funds will support our Comprehensive Emergency Assistance Program, Family Emergency Shelter, and Central P.A.R.K.
