The Litchfield Hills Rowing Club was founded in 1978 to promote the sport of crew for residents of the Litchfield area. Through it's sponsorship of both high school and masters programs, the club is dedicated to making the great sport of rowing available to all individuals who have the desire to participate.
Rowing is a team sport that requires dedication, patience and passion. It enables people of any age, level or ability to learn a brand new sport. Our club is made up of individuals that work hard together, get excited about making personal strides and like to have fun. As a team we motivate, challenge and support each other.
You don’t have to be an athlete to sign up for your first learn-to-row class, but you do have to be ready for the positive change that will take place in your overall well being! The benefits of building strength, endurance and mental focus make rowing “the ultimate team sport”.
Donated funds will be applied to our newly established "LHRC Junior Team Scholarship Fund". This fund is dedicated to providing financial assistance to make the great sport of rowing available for those junior athletes who have the desire to row, but cannot due to family financial constraints. This fund is designed to help supplement club fees on a season-by-season basis by application process.
