The Glebe House Museum & Gertrude Jekyll Garden is a non-profit, educational institution that seeks to make itself available as a unique historical and cultural landmark by preserving its heritage and providing educational programs and events for families, children and adults. Its mission is to maintain and preserve the house, garden and collection; and to share local history and culture using its historic property as a lens through which to interpret history with a focus on 18th century life and garden history.
As an educational and cultural center for the local community and general public our mission is accomplished through educational programs, interpretation of an historic site, the Glebe House and Jekyll Garden; exhibitions and a research library. Give Local funds will be used to generate and enhance our programming, to help us better serve the 4,000 + visitors, of diverse ages and social backgrounds, that we serve each year.
