of Matching Remaining
The mission of the Connecticut Junior Republic (CJR) is to provide care, treatment, education and family support for at-risk, special needs and troubled young people so they may become productive and fulfilled members of their communities. CJR accomplishes its mission of service through a full continuum of care for children and youth, ranging from prevention and early intervention programs to intensive, home-based, family focused therapy, mental and behavioral health services, and residential care for boys and girls that utilizes short-term and long term service models. CJR also provides educational programs for boys through the Cable Academic and Vocational Education Center in Litchfield. Combined, CJR’s programs will serve approximately 2,000 children, youth and families this year in 11 locations throughout Connecticut.
Funds raised during Give Local will be used to provide services for at-risk, special needs and troubled boys and girls. CJR services help some of Connecticut’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and families.
